CncDentalWax Formulations
Our waxes have been formulated for use with small, computer driven multi-axis CNC machining systems, specifically for the accuracy, high definition and clean cutting required in the dental and jewellery industry. The wax is refined and degassed to eliminate impurities and gas bubbles within the castings. It has been used with great acclaim for jewellery applications by some of the most prestigious jewellers worldwide - (see our "sister" website - www.cncjewelwax.com.) As well as their superior machining characteristics, our waxes have been developed to ensure that there are no residues remaining after "burn out" in the "lost wax" process.
At present we offer three "grades" of wax : "Blue" for most machining requirements, "Aqua" which is slightly "harder" than the blue and "White" which is the most "rigid" of the three. The choice of wax depends on the system used, the machining requirements of the job in hand, as well as personal preferences of the operator.
CncDentalWax Casting
All our CncDentalWaxes are cast using our specially developed casting / cooling system which provides an improved wax microstructure. This enhances the machining characteristics of the wax, compared to blanks cut from large solid blocks / cylinders of wax.
CncDentalWax Profiles
A variety of cast wax profiles is now being produced. These include small blocks / billets in sizes conveniently used by most CNC machines, as well as discs cast in shapes specifically produced for various machining systems. Currently the profiles we manufacture will fit Roland, Delcam, Amann-Girbach and Renishaw systems and include "stepped/ with levels" and "dental arch" shapes - see some examples above.
